Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing (epiphany) of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  Titus 2:13

GREAT COMPANY – BRIDESMAIDS AND GUESTS

Scriptures are cited from the King James (Authorized) Version, unless stated otherwise.

Question: Are all of the Great Company Bridesmaids, “the virgins her companions” (Psalm 45: 14, 15), or are some Guests but not Bridesmaids at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?

Answer: The heavenly host, the various classes of angels, as well as The Christ and the Great Company take part in the public celebration part of the Marriage Feast, but the heavenly host do not partake as Bridesmaids.

However, it seems evident that all of the Great Company partake both as honored invited Guests and Bridesmaids, even as in earthly marriage feasts the bridesmaids are honored guests. The two capacities show different aspects. The bridesmaids figure shows the closeness of their relationship to the Bride and the guest figure shows their being honored by God and Christ and being partakers of sumptuous blessings.

Similarly, all of the Little Flock are the Bride and also guests at the Marriage Supper. The bride figure shows their very close relationship to the Bridegroom and the honored guest figure shows the same as in the case of the Great Company, except that the Little Flock are the most honored, next to Jesus.

It seems evident that the Marriage Feast has transpired for a number of years, and that it will continue for a number of years yet.
